FACEWORK in the Turin CAS Coordination: networking for a vulnerable-focused reception
From the Protocol between 25 management bodies to the first conference on vulnerabilities: the path of the CAS Coordination of the Province of Turin and the contribution of FACEWORK .
In reception, an administrative procedure, a medical appointment, and a need for support can involve different services. The Turin CAS coordination group offers management bodies a shared workspace to address this complexity.

The Roundtable and FACEWORK 's participation
The Coordination Board of the CAS of the Province of Turin was established on July 4 2023 , with a Memorandum of Understanding between 25 entities managing the Extraordinary Reception Centers. The goal is to discuss with the Prefecture the bureaucratic, organizational, and operational difficulties of the services in the Turin area.
FACEWORK also contributes to the work of the Coordination through its president, Greta Vaira, a member of the board of directors.
Vulnerability: Recognizing Different Needs
Since 2024 the Committee has collaborated on the Vulnerability Form for reporting to SAI programs. This work requires a specific responsibility: to recognize different needs and bring them to the attention of the relevant services, without reducing individuals to a single category.
The first conference at the Luigi Einaudi Campus
On January 21 2026 , the Coordination Committee's first conference, "CAS – An Extraordinary Path," was held at the Luigi Einaudi Campus in Turin. Organized by the Committee in collaboration with the MIRA project, it focused on vulnerabilities in reception processes.
The program connected local practices, legal, and psychosocial aspects. The morning session, open to the public, was followed by an afternoon session focusing on case studies, reserved for CAS, ASL, SAI, and social welfare services.
On January 20 FACEWORK had shared the invitation on its Instagram profile, highlighting an event focused on people’s needs and the expertise needed to address them.
